I was just in a car accident

Someone just rear-ended me while I was on my way home. I was probably going at least 65 mph, so this bastard must have been flying. Knocked me into a spin from the left lane, across the other three lanes, over the curb, through the grass (knocking down some saplings on the way, thank God I missed the more resilient trees), across the access road, and into the swale on the other side of that road. A passenger got out of the car that hit me and ran away down a side street, and the driver drove away. I'm ok, but my car is pretty boned.

Some of these trees no longer exist.

I'm surprised he could drive off after demolishing the ass of your car like that. Glad to hear you're all right, man. Hopefully insurance will take care of you.

^So was I. I've got full coverage insurance and I only had about 3000 miles on it, so I'm expecting a pretty big check. The circumstances of the accident mean I'll only have to pay a $250 deductible, and they're paying for almost all of my rental car costs.
