And not only that, but I got it because my teacher is a complete douche. We did a project (science) which included a LOT of writing and recording data, and the day we were supposed to turn our papers in he gave everybody and extra 5 points that had their's done. Mine was, but I didn't get the extra points because I don't have a printer at home and had to print out my paper at school. If it weren't for this, I wouldn't have gotten a mere 84 on it, and would get an A for the quarter. ![]() |

Besides, people aren't hired on credentials alone. If you come off with a show-offish superiority complex, no one's going to get along with you. What I mean, specifically, is that the number isn't the important part. It's what you know how to do that matters in the adult world, and whether or not you know how to learn new things. If there's one thing I can really criticize the public school system for, it's for teaching people intolerance for opposing concepts. |

You can't get down about a "B", if it's not something you're content with, then by all means, strive for those As. But don't think that you're life is going to go to hell because you got a B. Always go for any goals YOU set, always make sure YOU'RE happy, but one of the problems that comes in life is when you're busy making everyone else happy, especially those you don't know. Get to High School, and if college is your ultimate aspiration, get to college. |

However...In science we're having a vocab test on Friday which is the last day of the quarter, and my teacher said that if I get a 100% on it, I may get just barely an A. Oh and I'm not doing it really to make myself superior, it's just that at the end of every quarter we have an assembly where they honor the uh...honor roll students, especially those with 4.0's. It just...gives me the feeling of self-pride and accomplishment. |

Don't complain about Bs...I know kids who work their butts off for "C"s. But then again; you also get the people who aim for "B" just so they don't fail or are able to get into college. And like AI...Just think of your GPA as the points on Whose Line. But don't think "But it doesn't matter so why should I bother trying hard?" either - that's even worse. |

I'm embarrassed to say I did get some F's and D's during my first two years, but now I mostly get A's. And I don't care that I don't get straight As, because my education is so much more worthwhile than it was in middle school. Anyway, one B is no big deal. Don't worry about your grades; worry about your education. |

I now have a degree in mathematics & am nearly done with one in math education. Middle school grades really aren't that devastating. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

I got them quite often, especially in English and in high school history. In college I got them all the time (more often than I got As). You'll be fine. As long as you get majority As most people will look at that, not the B here and there. -CSM |

It's more in High School, and even then, if you keep a majority of As, it won't hurt you... too much. |
