My dog had to be put down...

Worse yet, I have to think about it over this busy weekend.

It's all so sudden. He was always in good health, but on Tuesday night had a seizure. Apparently, something really bad happened last night (I couldn't understand my mom over the phone) and he had to be put down this morning.

I guess I'm glad I wasn't around to see my dog like that... but I wish I would've seen him sometime more recently.

I'm so sorry, Bomby. There's nothing that will make it better, but always feel free to share memories of your lovely pet with us; we'll be glad to hear about him. *hugs tight*

That is the suck. Take care, bud. We think of you like a brother, here, and will always have an open ear.

(why did that have to rhyme I hate it when I do that)

My mom almost put down our dog this Tuesday but she couldn't go through with it. I'm also fortunate I won't be around to see my dog get put down and was fortunate enough to see her and get pictures with her in December. Hard to believe she's been part of 60% of my life. If only animals could age with us...

Yeah... I remember being 9 and when we got our dog I wasn't sure I wanted a dog, because I remembered feeling terrible when my goldfish had died two years earlier.

Well... 13 years later my poor puppy has passed on. I guess it's worth feeling bad right now for all the good times I had with him.

That happened to our old dog... it was incredibly sad. My condolences... I know how much that hurts.

I'm so sorry to hear that. My dog is getting to be that age if it makes you feel any better. -CSM

Thanks, guys. I was filming a project for school in Milwaukee last night & this morning so I've been busy enough that I haven't been quite as devastated as I thought I'd be. When I dropped the car off at my parents' house tonight, though, I was rather sad not to be greeted by the little fellow.

I had this happen last week, except I found her laying there. Had to carry her out of her house. It was no surprise, as she was 15.

Oh, not another put-down.

My grandpa had to do the same thing to their dog. She suffered from Kidney Failure.
