Out of the advice I've heard, you'd have to be able to spot the ominous file. However, no one's told me HOW to spot it. I've also heard of this link: Ultimate Trojan Remover | Remove Any Trojan Horse, Virus or Malware in Minutes It will supposedly save time as opposed to other methods, but I'm a little reluctant to even click the link. Help? |

Do a quick look in those folder and se if you find something that you thinks looks out of order, the exception is the windows folder. if you are in doubt about the content of the first 3 just Shift Delete the contents of the folder and hope you remember your passwords and such. The windows Folder you should only look in if you know what's supposed to be in there and what's not supposed to be in there. |

You'll have some malicious registry keys (these aren't just files; they're located inside of Window's settings database) and maybe a rootkit (which is cleverly disguised somewhere out there). Anything proporting to be the "ultimate" whatever is very much bull**** because malware coders are always pushing the boundries of taking over other people's systems. Format your hard drive and re-install all of your applications from manufacturer's CDs. Download only from trusted sources, etc. That being said, you can try getting rid of it. I suggest using Spybot. If you know what you're doing, you can also try HijackThis, though be careful since that can also delete essential system stuff. |

They will walk you through, step-by-step, a full removal of your malware based on what you have, rather than random advice about "maybe try this". |
