So here's the situation: I might have to move back in with my parents. While this will save me money, it will do a great deal of damage to my social life, will make my job and doctor's appointments a much further drive away, and will more than likely send me spiraling into a depressive episode, not to mention that the more time I spend around my parents the less I get along with them. Especially my dad. Also, I absolutely detest the town they live in and almost everyone who lives there. This is because my job is only part time, and while I was getting almost full time every week in the winter and spring, the summer lull has put a great deal of stress on my finances. I've been searching for a full time job with extra effort for the past few weeks because I don't want to move back home with my parents. If I find a full time job, I won't have to move back. An extra problem arises with my incompetent landlord. When we had electricity problems starting when we moved in last August, he didn't get them fixed until March. When we had bats, he did everything he could to not call animal control to get them out of there. He wanders into the house whenever he feels like it. He moved in some random guy (who is apparently crazy and irritating, according to my roommate) today without giving us any notice that someone new would be coming. Also, he's a pastor of a conservative Christian church and is always trying to get me go to his damn church and sit through someone preaching beliefs that I not only don't believe in but in many cases find to be harmful to the outside world. On the other hand, the rent is really cheap, I have a free parking spot, and my roommate is easily one of my best friends. He hasn't had any of us sign a lease yet, which is good, since I'm not really sure if I'm going to be moving back home yet. He thinks I'll be staying for another year right now. If I am going to leave, I would need to tell him as soon as possible what my plans are so as not to be a ****ty tenant and piss everyone off. Moving home is the last thing I want to do, and if I can find a full time job soon enough, I'd rather deal with my ****ty landlord than have to deal with the inconvenience of having to travel in and out of the city for almost everything I both need and want to do. Ultimately, if I do end up having to move home and find a full time job soon enough, hopefully I'll be able to find a sublet or something soon enough, but I highly doubt I'd be able to find a place as cheap as where I'm staying right now, and who knows if I'd get along with my random roommates. |

This sucks. This really, really, really sucks. I cannot emphasize how much this sucks. |
