Top Down Shooters

I was wondering if we will be seeing any top down vertacle scrolling shooters. I remember these games being a blast to play in aracdes but haven't seen any in recent years. Except my pirate copy of Tyrian, that is.

I've got a ton of games and no idea what most of them are. I'd need specific names to be able to add anything.
