Here, I will indicate what the day/week's material in the Testing Arena is, what it means, and what I would like to see in feedback regarding it. Please remember to check back regularly! Thanks- Selene. Secondary note: Thanks to unforseen complications, I had thought that it was still possible to fight only one monster at a time on a regular basis. Apparently, the design changes performed to permit multi-player battling and multi-monster battling have actually made that unlikely if not completely impossible without having each monster restricted to a separate location. In light of this, I'm going to be reworking monsters slightly, fortunately I haven't already done too much in that regards, so fixing it is NBD. 8/23/06: The Testing Arena has now added two monsters- the Generic Bugbear (lv 5) and the Generic Mist (lv 7). Again- basic monster class reps. Feedback is desirable, especially specific feedback. 8/16/06: Today, the Testing Arena has three different monsters: Generic Undead (Lv 1), Generic Krab (Lv 2), and Generic Ooze (Lv 3). These are basic representatives of three of the monster types I'll be using to populate the game (hence the moniker 'Generic'). Please try out the monsters, and give feedback (and please, please make it more than 'too strong' or 'too weak'. If it's not specific, I've got no way to know what to twibble with.) in this thread. Unless there are other monsters in the area. With 'Generic Undead' set at no teammates and no teammate percent chance, under the initial settings, I 'hunt'ed one, and got one each of both kinds of Generic Undead AND both kinds of Generic Krab. And got my ass handed to me. So far as I can tell, the only way to guarantee fighting only one of something alone is if it's the only kind of monster in an area, and it's set to no teammates. Yay, borkedness. |
