Right now, I can only go to Terial, the Great Forest, and the Test Area? What do I have to do to go to the other places?

Go to the Great Forest. Now choose The Center of the Great Forest. (you might have to scroll down) Continue in any direction.

Keep in mind that only certain locations are visible directly on the world map. Also, they won't appear until you visit them.
