Thumbs up Game of the Week: Paper Mario 2

Part of a 3 way tie. No need to nominate or vote this week or next week as the games have been decided.

Anyway, about the game. I have it, and I'm up to Grodus. Reasonably difficult for me. Funny how I've had this game for the same amount of time as Metroid Prime 2 and like that, I haven't finished it yet. Heh.

One of those better be Blast Corps.

I've never played a second of this game, or any other Mario RPGs for that matter.

One of my fav. GC games. The pit of 100 trials is an awesome addition to an already great game.

It's a good game, but it's definitely not the best. It's also not the best RPG(Someone in another forum I go to claimed it was).

Is it just me, or was nothing in this game really that funny?

Paper Mario 2

I played some of it. Good game. Better than Paper Mario for the N64, IMO.

Not that it would take much. I still have high expectations for the series, after Mario RPG, and I don't really take to the humor of Paper Mario.

I thought it was better than the N64 version and all in all a very enjoyable game. Moved smoother and the battle system was cleaned up a bit. Much fun to be had.

I loved that game so much. I got all the way to the Final Boss, but I couldn't beat it because I wasn't very prepared (doh!) I tried backtracking my way all the way back out of the Final Boss's dungeon thing (I forget what it's called), but that's darn near impossible! So I'm basically stuck at the end ;_; Oh well. Other than that I loved the game. Challenging enough, and great characters who have interesting backgrounds. And the fact that every girl character thinks that Mario is so hot is especially funny. The writing is really funny. The music is also great. I have all the music from the game on my i-pod!

Played it for about ten minutes, not really long enough to form an opinion. Couldn't stand the N64 one, though.

Where are these lemmings going? The Super Nintendo Super Shire! Hop in line and follow them there!

I think this game rocks!! There was one room in Chapter Eight that I wanted to go back to again and again. The Pit of 100 Trials was fun and surprisingly, I got through it easily. I really enjoyed the cute undertones.

Enjoyed playing it a lot. Maybe a bit too cutesy in some places but it had a lot of smart puzzles and was fun for the most part.

Lots of good music too, and not just remixes of old nintendo tunes, although those were good as well.

I loved it. It was, for me, the second best Mario RPG (SMRPG is the first).
It had memorable characters, such as Doopliss, Lord Crump, Mr. Grubba, and Marilyn. I found it to be quite challenging. Especially the last few battles. Having to fight Bowser right after Grodus, with no healing was hell.

I enjoyed it very much. And I was pleased at Lady Bow's cameo appearance at Poshley Heights, after beating the game.

Agreed with Yami, I never even completed it cause it took too long.

The humor wasn't as good as Mario RPG, but it was still funny. I still like PM1, but it's in last on my Mario RPG list (minus Superstar Saga, never played it).

I'm still waiting on a true sequel to Mario RPG, perhaps on my new wii?
