Question Good Multiplayer Game?

Hey,

I'm having a party with some friends in a few weeks and I would like some reccomendations for a good multiplayer game (4 players) for the Gamecube. No excessive violence or M ratings please. I have SSBM, and that's always good, and my friend is bringing Star Fox Assault. I also have Mario Party 4 and 5, as well as Mario Kart: Double Dash!! Something relativley new or something that's coming out soon (before May 26)

Thanks for your help!

F-Zero GX. And don't play Mario Party 4 and 5, get 6 and throw away the other two.

Hmmm...Looks like you've got all the basic ones covered. If I had to give you any more, I'd say...007: Nightfire or something.

Hey, if you can relax the multiplayer requirement, I'd recommend 'Ikaruga', the best goddamned scrolling shooter since 'Raiden Project'. Granted, it's only two players at a time, but the other two people in the room can occupy themselves laughing at the players' ineptitude.

If you've got the bongos, maybe Donkey Konga? I hated that game one-player, but with four people it'd probably be a blast.

Super Monkey Ball 2 is great, if you like that sort of thing.
And, as always, any of the Mario Sports titles. Maybe not Tennis so much, but Baseball is great.

Ah yes, I forgot! I also have Mario Power Tennis. Thanks for all your ideas! I have 2 Donkey Konga bongos, so that might be fun...

So you say I should get rid of Mario Parties 4 and 5? Guess I could sell them and use the money on MP6 (or 7) How is Mario Party 7 compared to MP6?

Oh, and Ikaruga, is that anything like Contra for the NES? Because I thought that was an awsome co-op game.

As far as only two-player games, I have a lot. There's The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, Choronicles of Narnia, Donkey Konga (only 2 controllers), Soul Calibur 2, The Wind Waker (one person be Link, the other person be Tingle on the Tingle Tuner :-p)...etc...

Oh! And there's also Four Swords Adventuers and Kirby Air Ride. Ok. I'll shut up now. XD I THINK that's all the multiplayer games I have.

Ikaruga is somewhat like Contra, except it requires some quick thinking. It's similar in the sense that they're both run-and-guns, but Ikaruga is certainly a lot harder.

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles is a pretty good multiplayer game. I didn't think too highly of it in single-player mode, but multiplayer was awesome (except that one person had to spend the whole time carrying the chalice).

I'd say selling 4 and 5 and buying 6 is worth it.

How is Ikaruga like Contra? Ikaruga is an upward scrolling bullet hell shmup, while Contra is a side-scrolling run-and-gunner.

I don't remember what the rating is, but TimeSplitters 2 (or as I call it, Monkeys with Rocket Launchers) is great for some multiplayer laughs.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
