Not a great name by any means, but we (wii?) will see how it turns out eventually.

Pragmatic example though - if the NES was instead called...I don't know...The Televangelist Edutainment System, wouldn't it still be just as good despite the name?

Personally, I just hope its cheap. This stuff is getting more expensive and my wallet isn't getting bigger.

Well, I will say this. Nintendo's getting a lot more press out of the name change than they would've gotten out of the original name. Granted, it's mostly of people mocking them, but still.

It seems that the biggest thing against this name is the, very vague, sexual connotation.

Believe me, there are worse slang terms for male nether regions that could have been used.

(On an unrelated note, I remember when Paper Mario was going to be called Paper Mario Story -- or PMS)

I've never owned a system other than Nintendo's, and I dislike the controller and the name, and I'm not too sure whether I'll like the games either.
