I can think of Gotcha Force, PN03 and Billy Hatcher as third-party GCN exclusives, but nobody cares about those games.

Only one or two

And you're sure you're not counting games like Viewtiful Joe or Skies of Arcadia which read "Only For" in the upper left, but aren't?

Correction, I just saw that one of the games I thought was exlusive (Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life) is available on PS2.

So, to my knowledge, I only have one third-party game which is not available anywhere else. And that would be the (agreeably underwhelming) Final Fantasy: Chystal Chronicles

So there you go. Third party developers don't care about the GCN, and it only has its wide variety of third party titles because those games are multi-platform and get put on the GCN just to get gravy sales. In the event of an "exclusive" game, 95% of the time one of the following will happen:

A) Nobody knows about it (Chaos Field)
B) Everyone knows about about but nobody cares about it (PN03)
C) People care about it but it will eventually be ported to another console (Sonic Mega Collection)
D) It sucks (Crystal Chronicles)
E) It's a touched-up port from a defunct system, so it was never really exclusive to begin with (Twin Snakes*)

* Although I'm not sure this was officially 3rd party. Konami made the game, but Silicon Knights, which at the time was second party to Nintendo, made the touch-ups. If it's second party, just switch out for Skies of Arcadia, Ikaruga, or some other Dreamcast port.

I'll give you RE0, but Resident Evil is scenario E.

And it's still moot compared to what Capcom has given the PS2. Devil May Cry (okay, yeah, 2 is supposed to suck a lot. But everyone loves the other two), Maximo, Onimusha (although there's some Onimusha game with the same cover art as the first one for the Xbox. Might be a port, might be Capcom being lazy with the cover art), Chaos Legion, Mega Man X7 and 8 (okay, yeah, I'm the only person in my Time Zone who liked X7. But everyone liked X8, and it's still more than they've done with the GCN. And I think there's a PC version of X8, but I'm just talking with the consoles), the list goes on.

CK..........the thing that I have been getting is that everyone was arguing that third party companies made games for other systems, but skipped Gamecube. I never heard anyone argue about the lack of EXCLUSIVE games.

In the case of non-exclusive games, I will just say that after it's all said and done it's all down to a matter of preference.

But yeah, we are getting off topic.

In terms of releasing games for it, no, nobody's ignoring the GCN. In terms of developing games for it, nobody could care less about the GCN. In fact, the only reason Square-Enix put out Crystal Chronicles was so they could get games on the GBA.

Oh, boo hoo, the topic evolved into more than "OMG, WEE".

I think it's a little more than that.

The topic was a discussion of what people think of the name "Wii". The topic wasn't about "OMG, WEE".

Yeah, but it started out as random "Wii" jokes. It was intended to be a Wii name discussion, but it quickly transformed into a topic where idiots posted really lame "Wii" jokes.

You're pretty stupid if you would rather have 135 posts of "WII SUCKS" and "WII RULES".

If the off-topicness bothers your mini-modding ass so much, then get out. No one is forcing you to read this thread.

'Ikaruga' is the cat's pajamas. I notice that Treasure, the genius developer behind 'Ikaruga' (not to mention classics like 'Bangai-O!' and 'Radiant Silvergun') isn't mentioned on any list of developers who are 'enthusiastic' about the Wii (not that I've seen, anyhow). Ehhh.

I don't even know the following

A. Why I bothered to say that we're getting off topic.

B. That this topic still exists.

C. Why i'm even posting right now.

EDIT: Oh Yeah:

D. Why Yami Yoshi is such a Smart-@$$.

North American version:

By the time it got to the UK Capcom probably decided they were releasing it for the PS2 later, so took that off.

Hell, the GCN version of Resident Evil 4 also has the "Only For" on it.
