The DS already supports free online gaming via wi-fi. The Wii is headed for something similar, being wi-fi enabled out of the box users will be able to plug it in and go. This is in contrast with Microsoft who charge a subscription fee to access the Xbox Live service. ![]() |

It's certainly cool that they're making it free. People like Lurch might insist it's going to be horrible because we're not paying monthly fees, but I'd just like to be able to play online with my friends. I can't be bothered to pay some monthly subscription fee. |

Some months I will play allot while other months I will play very little. To me, it gives of some pressure that I need to play for a certain amount of hours to get my worth. For some who don't have a job and have plenty to deal with at school, and live their parents, that discourages them from going online. Subscription pay does not mean that the game will be better, safer, and more supported. It's how the company runs it. I'm excited about that and want to try it. Nintendo seems to show allot of support for the DS based on their web page and I'm sure they will show that same support. StealthKnight |

It's "a lot". Two words. I believe "allot" means to gather (to allot something), but I'm not sure. It might not even be a word. I don't know what "alot" is, but I have vague recollection of Shakespeare using it for something that didn't mean "a bunch of". [/grammar nazi] I've never played online, but don't most places allows you do deactivate your account if you're not going to be using it, then reactivate it when you are using it? ![]() Where are these lemmings going?
