Your Wii code is located on the address book in the Wii message board. You add people to your address book by going to "register" and putting in their friend code. You can only send them Wiimail/Miis if they put you in their address book.

on the main menu of the Wii (where all the channels are) click on the button with the mail thing on it on the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Now, click on the second to the left button on the bottom left of the new screen that appears. Then, choose the address book and choose regester.
