Anyone pick up Diddy Kong Racing for the DS?

Quite a bit different from the original, but quite a bit the same too. I'm very impressed with wifi so far.

I rule Dark Water Beach with an iron fist.

I was a little bit sceptical when the original game came out on N64. This was just after I'd bought MK64 do I treated it (rather harshly) as a copycat version of that game. However, I played it at my cousin's house and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to Euro release of this. Anyone tell me if its a different game or a remake? I don't know much about this version.

From what I heard, both. They had to take Banjo and Conker out, but they added Tiny and Dixie, I believe.

You could think of it as a heavily modified port. At it's heart, it's the same game, but they've added a lot of new stuff too. Some of the changes work and some don't, but it's still a great game, and it's online mode has a lot more options than any other game I've played so far. Up to 6 players on any track, single races or 4 race cup style. You can also play any of the battle modes online.

That's exactly it. Those are the two that still have their own series. Conker is in his remake on the 360 and Banjo is getting a new game on the 360 soon. Either Microsoft didn't want to share these money makers with Nintendo, or Nintendo didn't want to give Microsoft free advertising in their game. Take your pick.

That depends on if you have access to a wifi hotspot. The online multiplayer is excellent. There's quiet a bit new in the main game too.

The backround music gets on my nerves. It's probably because when I was little I would always play this game on the N64 with my cousin whenever I went to her house, which I was always over at because my aunts other daughter had heart problems so we were there to help them since they had no money.

....I'm bad at saying things without going on and on.
