| Guest | I think that there is some great VG music out there... Zelda tunes, MegaMan, Banjo-Kazooie...and certainly Baldur's Gate 2 (PC) has some excellent orchestration, but a lot of it is basically used as a way to pace the action. So in the end, about 90% of it is simply used as a background effect. The other 10% are made up of more 'composed' tunes to suit the surroundings, and a lot of it really great I think. | Guest | I agree. I think there were quite a few games with good tunes that just needed a boost in technology. Listen to a few of the remixed MIDI files at www.vgmusic.com to see what I mean. ~Tee |
