Making Master Quest Walkthroughs

I was wondering if a group of you VGFers that own MQ would like to work with me and make walkthroughs for every dungeon in the game, and then compile them and submit them to GameFAQs? I noticed there isn't one there at the time, and we could benefit from one (althogh its best to do it the first time with no help at all).

Well, is anyone interested? If a few of you are, I figure this is how we could do it... Pretty much one person volunteers to make a detailed walkthrough for a specific dungeon, which must be written well enough so that the player gets all keys and items in a set order without pointless backtracking in order to have everything run smoothly. Mini boss and boss strategies aren't very important since they haven't changed, and if you like you can include the Skulltulas in your walkthrough, since they've changed. Walkthroughs should assume the reader isn't an idiot and refrain from saying things like "walk a few steps, kill the Keese, then walk another few steps and shoot the next..", unless the room/puzzle specifically calls for killing of all enemies, or ridding of a particular nemesis would make the going easier, etc.

Well, is anyone interested? If so, I'm already willing to do the Forest Temple since I know the place almost inside out. The 3 dungeons before that aren't too bad, either. If you have any ideas or feedback, I'd like those as well.

Hm...the idea as piqued my interest, as I've got the disc myself. I'm just about ready to enter the Forest Temple myself. Give me a bit of time to think it over and I'll let you know if I'd like to join in. Expect my answer around 6-7PM EST.

If i feel like it....i just might. It depends, i dont want anything that even I am probably gonna need an FAQ for (Water Temple for example...). However ill be able to do bascally any of the dungeons, ill even take the burdon of doing the beginning dungeons.

I don't think so, but each of the stabdard dungeons have been remixed and are much more difficult than before, so essentially, they're just like new dungeons.

So? Knowing Nintendo and their info it's probably not very high quality.

I've made a Fire Temple walkthrough. Took me a while, but I've fixed it all up so it's quite useful. However I left out a part near the end, which is helpful only if you're looking for agonizing Gold Skulltulas. What you have to do is ridiculous, so I'm not even bothering to cover it. Besides, there's an FAQ that focuses just on that, so..

I just put the finishing touches on a Deku Tree walkthrough. BTW, im planning on doing a Dodongo Cavern walkthrough next.

Seeing Darunia do his dance again was definetly a breath of air

Whoa... whooo... It took 4 and a half hours, but I not only beat the Water Temple but made a very good walkthrough for it. Took a while to sort everything out, and I ended up restarting and doing the whole thing over to make sure my walkthrough was perfect. It is.

That's awesome, Chris. This makes 3 down and 6 to go, at least for the main dungeons. The Ice Cavern, Bottom of the Well, and Gerudo Training Grounds have also been drastically changed, but those can wait at least a little bit.

Damn... That took so long...
