LttP is better because: -Better graphics with the technology- I hated in OoT people's hands, many faces, most character's gesticular movements, and glitches and glitches and more glitches! -Better story- LttP has one very fine story, my favourite in-game story in fact. Not perfect still I'll admit, I say over and over that the character Blind should have had some story involvement (flashbacks?). The story in OoT is passable. -Solid controls and gameplay- OoT is kind of cool in this respect, but it just doesn't feel solid. Things like Link's rolling, and a bit more glitches. -Music- In my humble opinion (Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada, *cough*) LttP has far better tracks. Listen to the main overworld theme in MM (I know it's not OoT, but y'know), now compare it to LttP. LttP's is far better! Also the darkworld, dungeon themes, and 'The King Returns' and end theme are wonderful! I'd love for every song to be played by an orchestra! OoT was 3D, and good for it. It's a fun game, and it along with MM are my favourite games for the N64... but hey, everyone knows the SNES is better anyway *winks*. I'm hearing good things about Wind Waker, I don't have a Gamecube so I don't know. PS OoT in one area (I think it beats MM too, though MM tried to top it with those crazy colours) atmosphere. Some areas, particularily dungeons, in OoT look to die for. Some that come to mind include the forest temple (that part with the bridge in particular), and Kokiri village... at the same time one forest area really let me down... the Lost Woods. I want a real forest, like in the Beta version movies I saw! |

I've only played through it a few times, and already I think it's too bland and boring. That's why I never finished Master Quest--I'm basically doing the same thing I did in OoT except with remixed dungeons. I don't know what it is, but there's just something about the game that gives it poor replay value. However, I've had A Link to the Past for twice as long as I've had OoT, but I can never get enough of the game. The gameplay is just so addictive... I love it. By far the best Zelda game out there. |

You know what I remember about LttP? Very little. That says something. LttP had sloppy music, cheap graphics, and was poorly constructed. OoT, on the other hand, was an AMAZING game. Graphics-wise, plot-wise, and adventure-wise. No reply value? You kidding me? I'm on my 6th file, and there is STILL more I want to do again. For 1992, its look is quite sophisticated, and the end credits is one of the most magnificent video game music compositions I've ever heard. OoT was better plot-wise and graphics-wise (obviously), but that's about it. Definitely not adventure-wise, in my opinion. The dungeons and puzzles in LttP are so much better and addicting. In OoT, I've found all the skulltulas and pieces of heart, and the idea of running around Hyrule Field all over again in another file sounds like a chore. In LttP, I've found all the items and pieces of heart, but the idea of running around the Light and Dark Worlds all over again in another file excites me. |

You could have said (Note to all that I don't agree with this.) bad synthesized music, poor graphics by today's standards, boring etc. But how the hell could you say that the music, graphics, or game altogether were 'poorly constructed.' Any damn gamer could play LttP and tell you (even if they didn't like it) that it had good qualities. Whatsmore, anybody can realize that a lot of effort and talent went into that game! Don't remember the storyline? How about this for OoT: It's a run of the mill backstory BASED ON LttP you cretan! LttP was cool, you had to retrieve the Master Sword (rather than it being 'oh look it's there' in OoT), you have the whole maidens story, Agahnim, the Dark World... heck even many of the different locations have their own little stories! I'm not saying that OoT's story is bad. But it's rather simplistic compared to LttP. Oh and PS to the guy who said that many of the locations in OoT come from LttP: Yes and no. OoT wasn't based too terribly on LttP beyond that it was the backstory, (I hear that WW does quite a bit of that, so that's one hell of a good thing!). Like I mean there's a castle (I know, first castles appeared in ZII), a Kakariko village... that's about it. Lake Hylia, Death Mountain, and yes the Lost Woods first appeared in LoZ. People, people! Fine if anyone has their own opinions. But you know what? I think the smart people could agree that they're both great games. If you don't admit to that, then I'd call you crazy.
