Why would it be weird? It could easily follow the mold of the Metroid "norm."</font>
Let me just use this quote from Bolt's Metroid Prime review:

After all, Samus mainly shoots her enemies, right? And what better way to do that than with a FPS?
Also, it would especially be weird since the first 3-D Metroid was First person.

That had to be the most fancy post that has even been seen on these forums. Watch out Tri; you might put Hawthorne himself into shame.</font>
When you've got it, you've got it. I should've been a writer...wait...

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
I didn't find him to be that depressing. Just boring.

I actually havn't played any of the GBA/SOTN Castlevainas, but from what others have said, they follow a similar gameplay model to Super Metroid.

3rd Person Camera would be hell in a game focused on exploring a catacomb-like world. Metroid would have to mimic the 3d Zelda model even more than it already does with an auto-target system. I could go for a sidescroller though, even if that is the GBA's teritory.

OH.
MY.
GOSH.
That's EXACTLY what I did yesterday! Fufu! I finally got out Prime for the first time.. since like Feburary, when Master Quest was released.
So I FINALLY got the last 6 Artifacts I needed, and killed Meta Ridley. (And I'm peeved now, because I FORGOT TO SCAN HIM... gah, stupid log book!)
But because I REALLY don't like Metroids, I don't think I'll ever get to Prime, much less beat him. Oh well, back to Zelda! Whee!

I don't know why people bother to preorder WW. I was at my local Target a few days after WW came out, and there were like, five WW copies in stock, on the shelf.

The bonus disc containing Ocarina of Time and Master Quest just might have had something to do with it.

For me it did at least. I registered the day after the bonus disc was confirmed for Europe.

This topic has reminded me to go and actually play Wind Waker. I got it in the mail on its launch, and I haven't even gotten to the first dungeon yet.
