![]() Game Brain Join Date: Dec 1999 Posts: 14,262 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0 Times in 0 Posts | *Source: GamerFeed In a recent Yahoo! Finance article written by Patrick Seitz, it is speculated that the Grand Theft Auto series may be headed to multiple platforms as soon as the Rockstar/Sony exclusivity contract runs out. An excerpt from the article: "The last two Grand Theft Auto games have provided an immersive story with multiple coinciding missions. The next one is due out in 2004. A month later, Grand Theft Auto 3 and Vice City finish exclusive run on Sony's PlayStation 2 and will be available for Microsoft's Xbox and Nintendo's GameCube. 'And they will sell, like, a jillion copies,' [Wedbush Morgan Securities analyst Michael] Pachter said." Now, I'm not quite sure if I believe an analyst who uses "jillion" to represent sales figures, but this is something to keep an eye on. |
