What's been in your path to the glory of the N? Odd story? Miracles? Mine's the latter.

I was first introduced to video games in 1st grade, where my friend introduced me to Pokemon. The video game I saw on the tiny game boy color screen he had was amazing. I never played it.

A year later, I went to a day-care center. They had an N64 there, with SM64, MK64, BK, and MP1.
They also had a SNES, with SMW. I played both all the time. Though, the game that revolutionized gaming for me wasn't SMW, SM64, or BK.

Mario Kart 64 and Mario Party changed my face when I went out that one day.

Well, my parents are OLD, so they don't understand video games, and they think they are worthless wastes. This really hindered me.

Well, in Christmas 2000, my parents got me a Game Boy Color, with POKEMON SILVER!!! Yahoo! My video game era hit its prime!

Well, the next year, 2001, I got the Nintendo Gamecube, with Luigi's Mansion and Pikmin.

I still play it today.

My path may not have included a NES, or an owned SNES, but I today have access to a NES, and GBA helps with SNES?

What's your story?

The year was 1990. It was Christmas Eve. Coke was still better than Pepsi, though I thought other wise. Yet, I digress.

I came home from my Grandma's, and found my dad and uncle playing SMB. I was hooked...

I would go on to only own a few Nintendo systems in my life. NES, GB, GBP, GBC, and N64. I treasured them all, like they were my children.

I still remember the day I beat the Second Quest on Zelda...

Washer broke (or was it dryer?), and my mom had to go to the laundry mat until it was fixed. It was there that I first spied a weird arcade game with flying turtles, squat brown mushroom-like dudes, and a plumber jumping on top of their heads. The day I finally got my mom to give up some of her precious quarters was the day I became a Nintendo gamer.

I had experience with video games before (my friend's Master System, another friend's 2600, and some old PC games), but that was when I decided that I needed to own my first home console. The rest is history.

It was a looooong time ago. (Speaking within the boundaries of my 20-year lifetime, that is.) I was just a little kid, stuck at the house of my younger sister's friend. I was bored, so the friend's mother asked me if I liked Nintendo. Now, I'd heard the word "Nintendo" before, but I'd never actually played a video game. I said I would be happy to give it a try, so she turned on the NES with a copy of Super Mario Bros in it, and from the moment I stomped that first Goomba, I was hooked for life.

I used to play Sega exclusively, but when the Genesis bombed from old age, I got a PS1. ....But I found that it sucked, and turned all my PS1 stuff in to get a loaded N64. And I never turned back... and now I have the best of both worlds with both Nintendo and Sega on the same console.

My parents had opwned a NES before I was born, so I can't nail an exact time when I started gaming. I was very young though.

My babysitter had a Super Nintendo, so I obviously got to playing it eventually (I was three). My first games were Super Mario World, F-Zero, and Home Alone.

I remember playing an Atari at my cousin's house, playing NES and Game Boy at another cousin's house, and borrowing a Sega Genesis from a friend (with Sonic the Hedgehog, no less), before finally going to Toys'R'Us and buying an NES with the SMB/DH combo cartridge. It certainly kept me entertained while I had the chicken pox.

My grandpa got me one of those pirated NES things and a Famicom. The games were actually interchangeable, but unfortunately the Famicom broke down and we actually threw it away.

It was after Chirstmas of 1990. My dad got SNES and Super Mario World. My bother and him would play and I watched until my bro. asked if I wanted to play? I quickly picked the controler up a played with him. It was a good day and I still play that game today of course I play other games as well. That game started my video game addiction.

Or until you were able to j/k

It's real simple, simple enough to be summed up in two words: Mario Kart

It was about 6 or 7 years ago, I heard my cousin had bought an N64, now him being a Nintendo Fan, this was expected. The only games system I had before then was an old Atari! Anyway, we went to visit my cousin a couple of months later in Cornwall and he was happy to show me it.

I LOVED IT

I wasn't the best at Mario Kart 64 then but this truly was fantastic for me. When he showed me Super Mario 64 I was sold

Ah i remember it like it was yesterday...i was 9 and my aunt brought over her boyfriends SNES with super mario all stars and SMW. SMW was my first game and i remember how great it felt playing it. The first world was the hardest and the day i beat castle 1 on my own was an amazing experience. then i started to branch out into other game types. i was pokemon obsessed for about a year and now i occasionaly play it. then last christmas i finally got my own SNES with Super Mario Allstars+SMW, SUper Mario RPG, and Kirbys Avalanche. THen i got a bunch of gameboy games like the zelda series. I occasionaly play the others but Mario is my all time obsession.

It was on the Christmas of 1993. I was 3 years old at the time. I had gotten a Super Nintendo as a gift along with Super Mario World. I became a Mario addict. And I'd like to say that I still am to this day.

Long ago, Nintendo was always and the only thing video games in the house. One day, from early memory, I was playing Super Mario Bros. 3. From that day forward, I was quickly becoming.....a Nintendo gamer!

....and the rest is history!

I remember as if it were only yesterday... *goes into trance*

We turned on the NES. It sprung into life on the TV screen and we watched the opening part. Actually finding the 'start' button, the game began....

"OH MY... lookit the cute little brown thing. Hey. He fell off the screen. What happened...?"

'Start' again...

"Hmmm what's this button do? Ohh he runs fast. HEY... he fell again."

'Start' again, pressing another button.

"He JUMPS? Oh, that's how you get past that brown thing."

*slaps self*

"I got it now!"

We played the second level a million times until we finally worked out Mario can super-jump... Okay so the 'million times' was exaggerated but it FELT like that many.

Good memories...

*pokes HotD to waken her up*.

Here's how I got interested in Ninty games

First of all, Sonic the Hedgehog 2(I have several Sonic the Hedgehog stuff including comics, a Sonic and a Tails Doll, and a broken Sega Genesis) me interested in video games in general . I played Super Mario World but I never really got any interest to buy a SNES or NES(I was young at the time so I didn't have any interest in games such as Final Fantasy or Metroid, but I had a friend who did play a SNES which I went to his house sometimes). But when Sega's decline came about with the Sega Saturn(which I didn't buy, I took refuge with the N64(I played Mario 64 and then soon had a choice between Yoshi's story and Star Fox 64, but now I have both along with Mario 64). However, I did play several SNES games in the stores .
