When playing Soul Caliber 2, twice the game said the disk couldnt be read when i was about to fight inferno. However, it dosen't happen in any other game, it dosen't happen every time before the fight, and it is only before inferno. any idea what this is?

That´s happened to me in a lot of games, like Luigi´s Mansion after the title screen.
Just take the disc out, breathe on it, and polish it with your sweather. Then try again.

Definitely your disc. That happened to my friend in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle whenever he went to play City Escape. Except it couldn't be fixed, so he had to buy a new one.

Look for smudges on the disc. Wipe them off. If there isn't any, look for scratches. If there is some, consult a repair shop.

That is definitely not a good idea. In doing this, you could damage the disc. Discs aren't like cartridges. You can't just smack them and blow on them when they're not working properly.

Take out a cloth of some sort and wipe the disc. DO NOT WIPE IN A CIRCULAR MOTION this is bad and will mess up the disc, instead start from the center and wipe outwards, do this until all of the disc is wiped up.
