Ubisoft, one of the world's largest video game publishers, today announced its most impressive retail promotion ever.

During the month of January, anyone who purchases Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system, Nintendo GameCube, the Xbox video game system from Microsoft, or the PC will receive a copy of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell on the same platform - PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube, Xbox (Platinum edition), or PC - for FREE! This special offer will be available at all major retailers.

"This is huge. As a post-holiday thank-you to gamers for their continued support, we are giving away Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, last year's Game of the Year, with Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, which could very well be this year's Game of the Year," said Tony Kee, vice president of marketing for Ubisoft. "Millions of gamers can't be wrong, so for those who still don't own these award-winning titles, this is a can't miss offer. Ubisoft is committed to building our brands for the future, and we want both of these award-winning games in as many gamers' hands as possible."

I've seen Splinter Cell on Xbox for $15 at Target, so this isn't a Super McDuper deal. Still nice though.

If I didn't already own Splinter Cell, I'd definitely go for this deal.

That's a pretty good deal if you haven't already got either game.

Holy crap. All I need now is thirty-five more bucks and figure out whether I want the GCN versions or PS2 versions.
