why is it that nintendo are able to come up with such annoying characters and chach phrases and yet create the most addictive involving games on the planet (POKEMON ANYONE???)meh post your thoughts here

It would be more tolerable if they weren't marketing towards little kids hopped up on Pikachu-shaped candies who jump around yelling "OMG I CAGHUT MEW2!" at the top of their lungs as they run home to catch the latest episode of the cartoon to see what kind of clichéd misadventure Ash and his gang of buddies will get into today.

That's the problem. The RPGs are good (simple, but vast), the everything else is a result of farmer Ninty waking up at 4 AM to milk his cash cow.

If you look at the game without the marketing/products, it's actually not kiddy at all.

The game, Pokemon, is not entirely kiddy. Sure, you got your Pikachus, but you have your Tyranitars too.

Every now and then I am tempted to go pick up Pokemon Sapphire or it's counterpart..

LMAO indeed. bha i just find the lack of solid RPG's on te cude heartbreaking. N64 was woefull (dont even mention holy magic century i wanted to gouge my own eyes out of my head and serve them up on a platter to some form of eyeball eating creature so that i would not ever have hte chance of seeing it agai- oyu get my point)

bha but i cant wait for square-enix or whatever the hell they call themselves now. i hate company mergers. bha anyway crystal... whatever its called. chronicals? yes i think thats it looks awesome. in case you cant tell i have sleep depravation so ignore my rantings if they make no sense.

^Actually, Pokemon Colosseum coming out in March is going to have a 3D Pokemon RPG for you to play, if you didn't already know.

I loooove the games, they are very good! I used to watch the TV anime, but not anymore and sometimes (rarely) I still buy the cards.
