I am a Sonic Newbie, and from the first Sonic Advance and the three Sonics on GCN, I can't say I'm terribly impressed with any of them. Sonic Adventure 2 did make a good diversion while waiting on some of the GCN's bigger titles though.

What you're supposed to do is hold down the direction that the tube is going. Like, if the tube is going up, hold down Up, and when it goes back down, hold Down. Keep doing that until you find your exit.

What did I say that was "fanboyish"? I swear, everytime I say something negative about a non-Nintendo product, people think I'm being a fanboy. All I did was state the truth. Stu said that the Dreamcast is the greatest system ever. But how can it be when it failed to survive a full two years?

Because hardheads like you didn't buy it. And honestly- Gamecube is going out the exact same way. Luckily Nintendo has a hold on the handheld market, which, despite what analysts say, will still remain. At least for this generation and the next.

Everything is cyclical.

I'd have to say when you hook up the S&K pack with Sonic...2! Yes. I like S2&K and S3&K equally.

I guess you do have a point there, sorry I was in a bad mood last night. But yeah the DC was far from the greatest system ever, that honor goes to the NES. By the way, MM what non-Nintendo products have you played? I just remembered you once told me you have played non-Nintendo systems before.

MM points out a fact and a fallacy with somebody else's thinking, gets jumped on for pointing out that fact, and HE'S the fanboy?

...I'm not really sure how to word my response to this one... but let's see if I can try...

Well gee, what options are there? Atari, Colecovision, Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast, Playstation, Panasonic MDO, Xbox... gee, looks like the guy has to look really hard to be able to find something.

And so what if the guy played a non-Nintendo system? Did it seem like Hell magically transformed into a tropical forest with monkeys and tucans when he said that to you?

Is it just because you don't like Nintendo that you think everybody else who's every laid hands on a Nintendo system is a fanboy or what?

Word.

Sonic 3 sucks. Sonic 3 and Knuckles rivals Sonic Pinball in greatness.

No, smart people didn't buy it. People who knew Sega's history didn't buy it. People who knew that the only successful system Sega ever launched was the Genesis didn't buy it. With the N64, Playstation, PS2, GCN, and Xbox all out on the market during the Dreamcast's lifespan, why on earth would anyone buy a Sega system?

As for GCN "going out the same way as the Dreamcast", I don't think so. The GCN won't be retiring until 2006, when Nintendo launches their next console.

That comment was a bit harsh, but I guess so was Hobbes'. Why do I get the feeling you lot have argued over this before?

Look, the console had great games. Its as simple as that. Just because Sega couldnt find their arse with both hands when it comes to marketing shouldnt affect your opinion on whats good or not. The console had great games. That, at the end of the day, is what its all about isnt it?

Anyway, jus thought I'd explain my reasons, feel free to continue arguing if you like.

Cool

Rolling around at the speed of sound,
Got places to go, gotta follow my rainbow.
Can't stick around, have to keep moving on,
Guess what lies ahead, only one way to find out!
Must keep on moving ahead,
No time for guessing, follow my plan instead.
Trusting in what you can't see,
Take my lead I'll set you free.

Follow me, set me free,
Trust me and we will escape from the city.
I'll make it through, follow me.
Follow me, set me free,
Trust me and we will escape from the city.
I'll make it through prove it to you.

Follow me!
Oh yeah!

Danger is lurking around every turn,
Trust your feelings, got to live and learn.
I know with some luck that I'll make it through,
Got no other options, only one thing to do!
I don't care what lies ahead,
No time for guessing, follow my plan instead.
Find the next stage, no matter what that may be.
Take my lead, I'll set you free.

Follow me, set me free,
Trust me and we will escape from the city.
I'll make it through, follow me.
Follow me, set me free,
Trust me and we will escape from the city.
I'll make it through prove it to you.
