Im rejoining the franchise this time.. bought Blue, Yellow, and Stadium. didnt care for glod/siver stuff... but this is newer, and it appeals to me! ^_^

If you wanna play r/s, I'd think you would need to know some of the basic battle tactics, which were introduced in g/s/c.

R/S is a brand new Pkmn game, meaning it doesn't leave off from G/S and tries to have as little to do with it as possible. Don't think of it as a sequel.

^Thats one of my favorite parts of the new games. When i stopped liking pokemon(somewhere after the G/S Era), i pretty much sold all of my games. So now that im basically back into it, even the most experianced masters of R/B/Y/G/S/ and/or C will have a fresh start.

I remember when I saw the G/S pokemon for the first time, I could hardly wait for the game. Now, when I'm looking at these I think well, those look nice, that one sucks, but that's about it.
