New classic Sonic games for Gamecube! (And something new for GBA!)

Sonic Team recently announced they’d be unveiling a new game for the GameCube this month. Well, we're just into July and it looks like official confirmation of Sonic Team’s plans have already come to light. According to Famitsu & a press release on Sega’s page the original Sonic Adventure as well as Sonic Mega Collection will be coming to GameCube while Sonic Advance 2 is heading for the GBA. Sega plans to show off Sonic Mega Collection and Sonic Advance 2 at the World Hobby Fair on July 13-14th. Additionally, both games are scheduled to be released in Japan before the end of the year. The date for Sonic Adventure, and when all of this Sonic love will hit North America is yet to be determined.

You haven't played Sonic 3 & Knuckles have you. That game would rock on Gamecube, even if it was left the same as the Genesis version.

as long as there are no stupid ruby's/Gems to hunt for and the camera angles don't suck like the last one it may actualy be a decent game.

This topic in the NintendoLand Main says that Sonic CD, Sonic R and Sonic Shuffle will also be included. Is that true?

^Not anymore. Planet Gamecube had a crack about it being the Sonic Megadrive(Genesis) Collection.

Although unlikely, I wonder if Sonic 2&3 will be able to connect with S&K.
