If you take into consideration that the entire commercial seems to be making fun of "kiddiness", then it's not all that bad.

Well i thought it was quite funny im going to get the game thanks to the comercial every thing in life daesnt have to be serious Marios ment ot be acton packed with laughs.

Just saw it for the first time... That was cute. Mario's gotten taller, I see...

Don't know why, but it makes me think of the 80's. Anybody remember that old commercial for Mario Bros?

"Something's gumming up the plumbing,
Poor Luigi's in a bind,
Giant turtles out to get him

That was cooler than this, but this one was funny anyway. I'm just concerned. Parody or not, that commercial may not have been a very good strategic move for Nintendo's image...

SMB3's famous 'Worldwide' commercial topped 'em all, though. It was optimistic AND cool. The best thing about it though, was that Nintendo didn't NEED the commercial to sell it. The commercial pretty much just let everyone know it was here. Heh.

The craziest part is that people have actually boycotted the game after they saw the commercial because they were too embarassed to be seen playing it.

This next one takes the cake. Somebody on a Gamefaqs message board actually boycotted SMS because Yoshi appears to be barfing in one of his new attacks. I think he was actually spitting some kind of juice.
