I recently saw a new(ish) Sam & Max game for PC in EB. Anyone know anything about it? I don't remember the title, and I'd have to actually care hard enough to go to Google or Gamefaqs to search for it.

They've been releasing episodic installments in a new Sam and Max series since last year. All accounts say they are hilarious and wonderful.

This is great news.

*is pumped* I've played bits and pieces of the original and the new one at a friend's every now and then, and they are pretty awesome. This is one of the best ideas anybody has ever had... well, that's a stretch, but let me just reiterate: *is pumped*

Well, I've never experienced Sam & Max before (although I might have seen the show, and one comic), but I'm an enthusiastic fan of that style of adventure games.

'Sam and Max Hit the Road' rules. I won't say it's the pinnacle of the adventure game genre (that'd probably be the third Monkey Island), but it's damn close. Haven't played any of the new games--this looks like as good an opportunity as any.

By the way, in other 'Sam and Max' news, Telltale Games is apparently going to re-release 'Surfin' the Highway' (i.e. the complete Sam and Max comic anthology) in the next couple months. I'm delighted.

It'd be hard to top Quest for Glory 4 in my book, but I'll take your word for now.

ANOTHER UPDATE--

Inasmuch as Telltale flatly denied the earlier announcement, I thought it'd be worth mentioning that, this weekend, they issued this press release, which confirms that they actually are working on a Wii version now.

Still no news on the hardcover edition of 'Surfin' the Highway', though. Damn.
