I recently downloaded a whole tonne of Game Soundtracks, some by Nintendo, some not. There were some pretty special songs in the Metroid Prime collections (1 and 2) and Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess.

Until I get Brawl (i.e. it gets released in Europe), I can't really pass judgment on any of those songs. However, on the SSB music train of thought, the Fire Emblem song in SSBM is really, really good.

For me, the opening crawl theme from LoZ is still the best.

Pokemon R/B--Battle themes, Lavender Town, Pokemon Tower

OoT--Forest Temple, Lost Woods
WW--Dragon Roost, Ghost Ship
SSBM--Fountain of Dreams
SSBB--Opening Theme

-SMRPG Boss Battle Themes
-Star Wolf Theme (Star Fox 64)*
-Fire Field and Green Planet (F-Zero GX)
-Hyrule Field (OoT* and TP)
-The Great Sea (WW)
-Fusion Dragon Battle (Golden Sun: Lost Age)*
-Meta-Knights Revenge (Kirby Super Star)*
-Attack (Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword)*
-Victory Road (Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire)*
-Final Destination (Brawl)

There's just too many good themes out there, so I tried to limit it to my favorites in each series. Asterisks indicate ones that I think sound better in Brawl. More later if I feel like it.

"Gangplank Galleon" from the first Donkey Kong Country has always been one of my favorites. Too bad the Brawl version isn't as good.

Any of you who were old enough to be Pokemaniacs in 1998 will agree with me, I imagine. I still get an adrenaline rush from this. This is the only song missing from Brawl that I really, really wanted in.
