| Godly Member | I got my limited edition DS from the nintendo world store today! I got a DS with Palkia and Dialga on the front. It's limited edition and I got it while I was in the Nintendo Store today. Yep I am in the NYC right now. I'll upload pics of the DS later. __________________ ![]() Click here to level up my card! |

He was in London for the launch of Super Mario Galaxy I believe, so he gets around. |

Something like Pokemon isn't my shtick. |

| I liked the thick brushstrokes art for the GBA games and WW myself. | |

| Godly Member | I actually do have the warioman DS and the Zelda DS. The only kind they had this year was pokemon and so I picked it up because I know it will be worth something one day because it is limited edition. __________________ ![]() Click here to level up my card! |

And considering Pikachu and Ash, I'd rather it didn't have any mascot at all. Then again, I'd totally be into it if it were more like this: Last edited by DELICIOUS POISON; 08-24-2008 at 10:35 PM.

Lots of people like horrible things. Take Country music, for instance. Or Disney. What does that have to do with whether or not Pokemon has a strong or personally appealing image outside of the cartoon, though? Strong sales figures don't make what I'd call a strong franchise overall. There's no character and there's no continuity to it. It's surprising more people don't see through to it for what it genuinely is: Quantity over quality. A shallow marketing ploy. Gotta Catch 'Em All, baby. | There's the marketing, AI, but you have to look at how there's actually a pretty deep strategy game in the battle sections.

I mean, if you get way into it, playing against other people who obsess over the game, then maybe it borderlines. But that can be said for something like SSB, too, and that definitely doesn't include "deep" strategy. |

| ^^ The strategy is in the setup, like how there's strategy in a CCG. | |

Oh, and the games do have a decent, very simple story that is connected. I loved R/B/Y and G/S/C.
