In response to the impressive demand, Nintendo is scrambling to produce more units. Since Nintendo does not have the capacity to produce more than one million Nintendo DS systems, it is currently preparing a third production site in China so that it may ship more to Japanese retailers by the end of the year. Investors responded favorably to the news: Nintendo’s stock rose 3.97 percent today. Nintendo aims to ship 4 million DS units worldwide by the end of March. I think it is very safe to say that the DS is officially a "not-failure." |

Although I kind of doubt that's going to happen. ![]() Where are these lemmings going? The Super Nintendo Super Shire! Hop in line and follow them there! |

I also didn't run across any oppurtunities to do so without putting forth any effort. While I don't want them to be sold out Sunday, it'd be cool if it did because it would mean Nintendo's kicking arse again! |

Better get there as soon as the store opens. Unless the store you plan on visiting doesn't take preorders, or isn't crawling with people half the time. I know if I didn't preorder and went to EB I'd stand no chance in hell. |
