Anyone else having this problem? - VGF

Everytime I load up RE4, it locks up. When I put another game in, it works just fine.
Is my GC screwed up, or is RE4 just really buggy? Anyone else have this problem?

It could just be the disk you have. You should return it to the store and ask them what the problem is.

Does it freeze when you boot up the game, or when you load your file?

^ If locks up a few minutes after loading my game.
The message I get is-
'An error has occured. Turn off the power and refer to the Nintendo Gamecube instruction booklet for further details.'
I'm pretty sure it isn't the gamecube. Everything else works fine.

It's probably the disk then. This has happened to me before, and it was because it was broken. Same thing happened when I put a disk in that had loads of scratches on it.

Yeah I had to take mine to a disc cleaning place. Then it worked, Because i couldn't get mine to work again.

This happened to me when I rented Soul Caliber.... II.(Couldnt resist.)

Try to get it clean. Yeah. And stuff.

Maybe the memory is corrupted? Try starting a new game and see what happens.
