I loved the SSBM manual, gave you a quick intro on all the starting characters. And yeah, in The Minish Cap, Ezlo bugged the everloving crap outta me, giving you hints every time it turns on and saying random crap when you enter a room with a puzzle. |

Tutorials I do like in a game are the ones in games like Ratchet and Clank where the action doesn't stop and the thing you need to know is right at the bottom of the screen. "To make a long jump, press R1 and X at the same time." |

The game starts off with a long tutorial of what the buttons do, and Oak walks you through how to fight at the beginning. Why? This was never done in ANY of the previous Pokemon games. Not even Ruby and Sapphire. ![]() Where are these lemmings going? The Super Nintendo Super Shire! Hop in line and follow them there! |

No starting tutorial, no explanation of what items do or how the controls work... just a sword, and you're on your way. Aside from fairly vague clues here and there, you figure things out on your own... and it's fun. It'd be nice if the games would just give you the option when you start a new game to turn gameplay tips on or off. |
