Scenario 2: Pikmin 2 In the first Pikmin, you were essentially left to figure stuff out for yourself with some comments from Olimar. Here, you've got a computer that has to explain every little itty bitty thing to you. About 85% of it is all stuff you should remember from the first Pikmin, and another 14% of it is stuff you could have figured out through a little experimenting. Whenever a boss drops an item, it feels the need to talk about "Oh, what a great fight, blahblahblah oh a treasure! I wonder what it does blahblahblah". I'm over twenty video game days into the game, and the damn thing is STILL talking! Scenario 3: Minish Cap I think most people playing this already know what a rupee is, Capcom... ![]() Where are these lemmings going? The Super Nintendo Super Shire! Wait, they seriously explain what a rupee is? And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

I hope to god that they don't go overboard on Revolution like this. |

They either assume you have no common sense, or no puzzle solving ability. Minish Cap was chock full of unnecessary advice and hints. |

That means you could bump out all your important things like defeating a gym leader just by buying some potions, Pokeballs, and other crap. About the rupee explanation questions, I think it only did it once, when you picked up your very first rupee. Although OoT may have done it for each color. I don't know. Either way, we really should know what a rupee is by now and it should be omitted completely. If they want to do it for the newcomers, just display the info when you first pick up the rupee. Not explain each color once you pick it up. I totally forgot about Metroid Fusion's computer that lead you through the game by the nose. Whoever brainstormed that needs a kick in the gut. ![]() Where are these lemmings going? The Super Nintendo Super Shire! Hop in line and follow them there! I don't know about anyone else, but I found the training dojo or sensei or whatever it was to be a huge waste of time. It seems as if they put that training guy (or guys) in there only so the Minish Cap could look more like its big brother, the Wind Waker, where that guy was actually useful. Whereas training to learn how to counter-attack certain moves in tWW was useful, I don't need to spend five minutes in a training room in tMC learning how to OMXG LERN 2 BRAEK JARS WIF TEH SOWRD111 |
