Apparantly there is some kind of conspiracy theory regarding Nintendo's new console, including a (very professionally) fabriacted video showing it to be some kind of virtual reality system. IGN have claimed this video is fake (and it seems fake to me).

More info can be found: here , here and here .

When you go to the website www.nintendoon.com (Nintendo On is the name of the virtual reality headset device shown in the video) you are redirected to IGN and you can see the video for yourself.

It's interesting to say the least.

Pretty good, actually. Nearly had me there.

Yeah, it really was much ado about nothing.

I'm really underwhelmed by the Revolution presentation. All we know is what the device might look like, that it plays GameCube games, that you can download old games, and that there will be Zelda, Mario, Metroid and SSB (online) on there (not at all surprising).

^Well, Nintendo's controllers/concepts have been ripped off over the years, like shoulder buttons, their button layout, rumble, analog sticks, slots for controller expansion. I can't blame them for not revealing everything.

All of that was seen on PC inputs of some sort first. Nintendo simply copied it over to consoles.
