...yeah, I'm thinking "ugh". Any unnecessary use of "baby mario and luigi" is pretty much a claim to retardation.
not to mention how much that has ever contradicted the proper storyline to the Mario Bros. What, you think America won't remember a cartoon series with a lengthy run?

^A cartoon series with a lengthy run that wasn't in any way sponsered by Nintendo.
And Baby Mario and Luigi...well, they're not the coolest characters, but "retardation" is stretching it a bit, I think.

Oh yeah, cause you know, forget the fact that the first M&L game was flawless, if you put Baby Mario and Luigi in there, the game will automatically suck eggs. =\

Flawless? More like flawfull.

While an OK game, it had several flaws, including the annoying control scheme, the easy puzzles, the battle system that was either too hard or too easy, the underwater stage, etc...

Not to mention every place and name was based on lame puns about either laughs or beans.

I thought M&L was brilliant, the best of the already excellent MRPG series. Too bad it's for DS though... might mean I'll have to buy one.

They licensed the cartoon. That counts for sponsorship. I'm just saying it was a mainstream and popular use of the proper Super Mario Bros. storyline. The plumbers are from Brooklyn, New York, and were not born in the Mushroom Kingdom. While it might not count for much to you, the series did use to make some sort of cracked out sense. Nintendo didn't make prequels and crap, and inter-series entries in their games. It's really bad practice in general to do as much. And yeah, baby Mario and Luigi are freaking lame.

^Baby Bros. Freaking lame, yes. So is Tingle, but Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, and Four Swords were not at all retarded. Except maybe WW's graphics, according to some people. But the point is, two characters do not a game make. And I know those two characters are 2 out of four main ones. That doesn't matter. 2 out of 5 characters in Sonic Heroes were uber-lame. But that was still a pretty darn good game.

I rest my case.

What are you talking about? Sonic Heroes had way more than 5 characters.

That still could mean that 2 out of 5 were lame. He's basically saying that 40% of the characters in Sonic Heroes were lame. Where he got that number from is beyond me, though.

I don't really see why everyone thinks the game is milked by the introduction of the baby bros. I mean, come on, people! I bet most of you havent even tried the game yet

Are you sure would bet that no one here has played a game that is not even finished? I would think twice about that if I were you.

^Okay, super_smasher, here's a hint:you can't TRY the games until they have come OUT.

And if you're thinkin' imports, I doubt this game's even out in Japan yet.

And I didn't care for the first, and I think their great new characters are gimmicky ****. Don't tell me I have any reason to keep an open mind.
