It has to be Mario,hands-down, first of all, who has a record of being the wimpy and underestimated one,Luigi,who is also scared of ghost's, now, who is pictured as the heroic one always saving the damsel in distress,Peach, and constantly saving the mushroomkingdom from the evil's of bowser and other villians in the series? you got it,MAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIOOOOOOOO! besides, when did luigi ever save the mushroomkingdom besides being at mario's side in M&L 1 and 2, and being playable in Super mario bros.

Luigi is not wimpy. Yes he's underestimated. In Luigi's Mansion, he saved TMK. It was said that more mansions were spreading and would cause problems.
Luigi is playable in every single Mario platformer except the Mario lands and Sunshine.
Ha! More like Mario by Luigi's side in M&L ans PIT! Luigi had the essential moves!
To fans of Luigi, it can be said that Mario is "just a playable character." Mario has a huge fanbase, but Luigi's is bigger and continues to expand. I am not saying Mario is much worse, but I like Luigi just a bit more.

first of all, im not sure the mansion problem was causing concern to TMK, he really technically saved E.Gadd a bit, And you make me laugh by that ridiculous remark you made with M&L, remember in SS, when luigi refused to venture with mario, as i said,WIMPY, and back in the past when baby mario was facing baby bowser in PIT Luigi Watched Mario from a distance as MARIO, battled him.just a playable character? Mario is depicted as the main hero of all platformers, in every summary of a game to every platformer game suggests mario is the savior while he gets some help from his bro.
And in luigi's mansion, he gets frightened very easily if i dont say myself by those boo's proving my point that he is definently a bit wimpy, and your correct about luigi's fanbase growing, but Mario's Fanbase will always be top-notch

Yeah. Mmm hmm. I beat every level in SMW with Luigi, and would have done it in SMB3 if I was allowed to. Also, I always used Luigi in SMB2. Yeah. Mario's usually made to be the star, but like I said, he doesn't have to be if you're a fan.
You could hear Mario's screams, so obviously, he's afraid of ghosts too. He couldn't do CRAP without Luigi.
Basically the only thing that you said that was legitamate is that Luigi is cowardly. He is, but not enough for you to say "Oh Luigi is so wimpy Mario is teh heroic roxxorz"
One more thing. Cowardly and wimpy are 2 different things.
