Nintendo licenses almost every game that's brought to them. You see the so called 'Seal of Quality' on an awful lot of crap games. I wonder how bad a game has to be for it to not get a seal of quality. [ June 05, 2005, 12:34 PM: Message edited by: NintendoNut, King of the Britons ]

Game-wise, there hasn't really been anything since Tengen games on the NES). The Seal of Quality just means it's a Nintendo-approved release and, game-wise, has nothing to do with whether it is actually good (I would be surprised if Nintendo approved HARDWARE that crashed the Gamecube).

For example, do companies pay IBM to make PC games? Nope. Nintendo sued Tengen because they ripped-off Tetris, not because they released games on the NES. |
