Who here thinks that Nintendo is making a big mistake releasing a new Splinter Cell game like every year!

1) Ubisoft makes the Splinter Cell games, not Nintendo.

2) The games are released on every system.

3) Each of the Splinter Cell games have been excellent, so no.

1 and 2 are correct, but I definitely don't agree with 3.

Yes Ubisoft makes the games but Nintendo licenses them. And yes they do put them out on every console but Nintendo is better than all those other consoles so I still stand firm

So...Nintendo is making a mistake on the Spliner Cell releases, but the Microsoft and Sony aren't even though they are doing the same?

Makes sense.

Yes, but Splinter Cell is multi-console, you have to realise...

Oh dear.

Nintendo licenses almost every game that's brought to them. You see the so called 'Seal of Quality' on an awful lot of crap games. I wonder how bad a game has to be for it to not get a seal of quality.

</font>[/quote]There are are plenty of companies that release unlicenced products that may or may not be a piece of crap (mostly controllers, memory cards and stuff. Game-wise, there hasn't really been anything since Tengen games on the NES). The Seal of Quality just means it's a Nintendo-approved release and, game-wise, has nothing to do with whether it is actually good (I would be surprised if Nintendo approved HARDWARE that crashed the Gamecube).

If a game is fun, affordable and morale, why not release it? Morale is debatable here though, heh.

If Nintendo doesn't license the game there's nothing that they can do about it. For example, do companies pay IBM to make PC games? Nope. Nintendo sued Tengen because they ripped-off Tetris, not because they released games on the NES.

Honestly, Nintendo could use more third-party games.

EA and Capcom seem to be the only 3rd party companies making anything for Nintendo, anymore.
