I've never owned any Mortal Kombat games but have played plenty on my friend's SNES in the past. From what I played, I liked, I do like a good fighting game. You have until Wednesday to post 5 nominations to go on the list of eligible games. [ July 21, 2005, 05:17 AM: Message edited by: The March Of The Black Queen ] |

This week I'll nominate the NES Bionic Commando. ![]() Where are these lemmings going? The Super Nintendo Super Shire! Hop in line and follow them there! |

I used to think that multi-armed guy was badass. I was always more of a Street Fighter kind of guy growing up though. Quote:

I didn't really like the first MK, but 2 was a lot better, and I loved Ultimate MK3 (which I owned). The problem was that I spent more time trying to do everyone's fatalities/babalities etc. than actually fighting. |

I never really got the movesets in the original MK games. They don't flow very well. ![]() |

KI2 could have been better, if they didn't waste their time simply changing the moves for the characters, and getting rid of favorites (who doesn't think Cinder or Riptor are cool, really?) But MK was an important step in fighters. Heck, it's a loooong way from that atrocity, pit fighter. And just as a side note, I own MK Trilogy, because it's basically the best of the 2D games. If I ever actually desire to play a Mortal Kombat game, it'll be the one I go for. BICYCLE KICK, *****ES. ![]() |

MK trilogy for 64 was only slightly better than UMK3 for SNES. I also can't see why they got rid of Riptor or Cinder. I thought they should've just add the other characters, not replace them. Sabrewulf is my favourite, though, so I'm glad he stayed. |
