I think the only weapons that affect him are the fully charged buster shot and the Strike Chain. He doesn't have a life meter, but he changes colors the closer to death he gets. Sigma's second phase in the first Mega Man X can only be hit with the Rolling Shield and the super-fully charged buster shot (which is why Zero gives you the arm upgrade if you didn't get it from Flame Mammoth's stage. You really wouldn't be able to defeat Sigma otherwise). I think Kaiser Sigma from X3 can only be hit with the fully-charged buster shot, but don't quote me on that. You may be able to hit him with the Z-sabre, or the shockwave that comes from it. ![]() Where are these lemmings going? The Super Nintendo Super Shire! Hop in line and follow them there! |

You can't dash or climb walls in the original Mega Man games. Sure, you can slide, but you can actually attack while dashing. And dashing is cooler than sliding. There's a lot of stuff to find in Mega Man X stages, ranging from health tanks and upgrades to damaged reploids in X6 and X7 who gave you stuff if you saved them. Mega Man never had level exploration anywhere near as deep as that. You also forget that the main villian of the Mega Man X series is a destructive computer virus rather than a gimpy old man with an ugly haircut. There's not called "robot masters" in X, they're called "mavericks". The fact you nominated a PS1 game pretty much discredits everything you said about Mega Man X being the same as Mega Man. ![]() Where are these lemmings going? The Super Nintendo Super Shire!
