Exclamation

Sorry I didn't post this on Monday, going back to school was tougher than expected.

Anyway, this game won a majority vote last week. I haven't played it and haven't really intended to, to be honest.

You have until tomorrow evening to nominate 5 games to go onto the list eligible to be next week's GotW. But before you nominate, please take time to check the GotW archive to make sure your game of choice has not yet been GotW.

I was having a blast with it until I hit Ixa Taka. Wandering + common random battles = ARGH. I did eventually pass it, but I'm still trying to rekindle my interest in finishing. I'm fairly certain I left off at the scenario with the two chicks in that desert city after they got rescued by some guy with a really overdone bedroom.

This week I nominate Earthworm Jim for the SNES.

I haven't played this game, and I probably won't. From what I've heard of it this is a typical RPG (CK mentioned random battles), which doesn't appeal to me at all.

There are a lot of neat elements to the game, and I think the whole atmosphere really appeals to me on this one. I seriously need to beat this game.

For next week, how about... let's throw an odd one in there. I nominate Mario Paint.

I heard that SKies was supposed to be a good RPG, second to ToS on the GC. I never played it though.

I'll nominate a little known game for the GBA called Riviera: The Promised Land.

SoA doesn't particularily interest me. Its story is all right, the special attacks are something out of a Sailor Moon show, and the characters are rather typical and mediocre.. in other words, made by Sega. I like to make fun of the popup while my brother is playing.

Super Mario 64 for me. What other game completely redefined how video games are made?

Umm.. there's a lot of games that redefined gaming. Super Mario Bros., Wolfenstein 3D, the 7th Guest, Dragon Warrior, Street Fighter.. All games are categorized by those that far preceded them, inventing their own genre.

Anyway, I'll vote Mario Paint.
