I remember playing this as one of the first Nintendo games I got into. I remember Donut Plains 1 being particularly difficult (I was about 8, shut up ). When I grew older and got further into the game, eventually beating it, I realised it was a brilliant game. Anyway, normal system resumes this week. So nominate 5 games by tomorrow please. Please check the GotW Archive before nominating. [ October 05, 2005, 04:16 PM: Message edited by: Koga ] |

A wonderful game, which I like even better than SMB3, because of all the hidden exits there were to find. |

Never did the Special world, though. I nominate The Lost Vikings for SNES. ![]() Where are these lemmings going? The Super Nintendo Super Shire! Hop in line and follow them there! |

Oh those were good times. I nominate Metroid for the NES. |

It was just so one of the best games of my childhood. And with it being the first SNES game.. god, it seemed so huge. It was something completely different, in terms of scope. I still wish they would have done a proper sequel to it. SMB is still my favorite Mario title, though - probably always will be. I vote for Metroid. ![]() [ October 06, 2005, 04:00 AM: Message edited by: enjoyFantasticPr1cedDrugs ] |

Both are very, very good Super Mario games. Maybe it's the fact I can beat SMW in 3 days that makes it so cool for me. EDIT: By "beat SMW", I mean get all 96 goals... heheheh, reverse 96 to get 69. |

Posts: 5,560 Thanks: 0 Thanked 1 Time in 1 Post | SM3 was better, but for being the first game with Yoshi it was pretty good. The entire bowser clown-mobile was a bit off, and the items were definately downed quite a bit from 3 that had like 50 different items/costumes, but again, wasn't bad. Is definately worth playing, was probably one of the last Mario games released before the Mario genre was completely ruined and de-evolved into the joke it is today. BTW, the nominated games don't appeal to me at all. Metroid, for no other reason that . . . well no reason at all. |
