I played this game when it was added as an extra to, I think, Metroid Prime. I didn't get to grips with it as I never took to the controls. I did enjoy playing Metroid Zero Mission, which is a remake (*coughDaiGrephercough*).

Anyway, you have until Wednesday to nominate 5 games for the GotW list. However, before you do, please check the GotW archive to make sure your choice hasn't already been GotW.

I think that "bonus" was on technically on Fusion. You had to beat Fusion, then link it up to Prime.

Oh, and...

I'm thinking, of anything else, if I get a good deal (Less than the $10 it's going for right now, just to be safe), I'll probably get the Classic NES Version just to get it out of the way.

Speaking of Classic games, I nominate Super Mario Bros. on the NES. And I mean the first and best version.

metroid, one of the best games on the NES. I never completed it on the NES, though I did on the remake on GBA. I nominate the Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening.

I'll nominate Ikaruga on GCN.

And Metroid just kicks serious ass - and ZM was nearly all I could hope for in a remake.

If you guys really want a decent version of Metroid, download the FDS version - it can save, so you don't have to write down the damn passes. Or just use save states, although that's really cheating.

I played it for a while when I unlocked it in Metroid Prime, but it was really difficult. I did finish Zero Mission and really loved it.

I'll vote for Link's Awakening. It started the whole GB-esque Zelda subplot/spin-off. Except Four Swords. That one sucked.

I rented Metroid on the NES abck when it was still around, and got my ass handed to me. Then, I played it on the GC bonus, and I handed it's ass to it. What a difference a few years makes, huh?

Come to think of it, I vote for Link's Awakening. Easily best handheld Zelda, and quite possibly the best 2D Zelda. If LttP weren't such a juggernaut, it'd certainly have the throne.

An excellent sequel to Zero Mission.

I love Link's Awakening.
Perhaps we should also touch upon it's sequel Link's Awakening DX since it has another dungeon therefore cannot possibly be the same game.
