I played this game and as a game it was good. Unfortunately, as part of the Donkey Kong Country series, it was not as good. Probably the weak link in the trilogy for me.

Now you have until Wednesday to nominate 5 games to become eligible for next week's GotW. However before you make a decision, please check the GotW archive to make sure it hasn't already been GotW.

Another point of mediocrity in an otherwise amazing series. Congratulations, VGF.

Consider Mario Kart DS to be nominated again.

Like I said before, I liked it, but just marginally.

Even though I've never played it, I've got a real bug to nominate Phoenix Wright for DS.

The game was good, but I still don't know wht the heck they changed the ENTIRE music for the GBA version.

Probably the song Jungle Jitters was the craziest of all.

And I nominate Mario & Luigi RPG

I've played all the Donkey Kong Country games, and I'd rank DKC3 as dead last. Donkey Kong Country was really revolutionary in it's design and scope. IN DKC2, they took it to the next level. When they made DKC3, they really jumped the shark. It just wasn't as good as DKC2, and in some areas, wasn't even as good as DKC.

I'll nominate Resident Evil 4 again.

I'm pretty much with everyone else here. I thought it wasn't very interesting, or very fun.

I nominate Chip & Dale: Rescue Rangers(NES).

I just got the GBA version (never played the SNES version) and I like it a lot. But I must admit that compared to the other 2, it's just not as good. It seems a bit on the easy side as well so far, compared to the first 2.

That explains it. I suggest to play the SNES game on an emulator to compare them two. But I must admit, the GBA version has cooler features (except music) than the SNES counterpart.

I did play both versions of DKC2 and I must say they aren't that different. I expected DKC3 to be just as different from his SNES counterpart, but apparantly they felt the need to change even more (including music). I beat the game now (beat K.Rool for the first time that is, I only have 81%) and David Wise was credited for the music, so it's at least still the same composer.

I didn't like it. The graphics and models were a step down from DKC, the first game in the series. The level design was subpar to out right bad. They tried to give the main characters dialog. Big mistake.

Christ Lord, people - DKC3 wasn'y a bloody infringement of your rights, get over it. Maybe it wasnt as good as the first two, but it did deliver interesting enough worlds, levels, and bosses (the latter specifically, especially compared to the bosses of DKC1 who were repeated without scruples) to be considered an damn good game.

Says you. It was without a doubt, one of the worst games I've ever played.

I don't think it's that bad. I think the DKC trilogy is comparable to the Star Wars trilogy. The first one was revolutionary, unlike anything you've seen before. The 2nd one took everything from the first, but added even more to enrich the experience. The 3rd one is a big step down from the first two, and had some things you'd rather haven't seen, but it's still DKC/Star Wars, so it's still fun.

Of course that's just my point of view, and I know some who will disagree. Unless CK loved The Empire Strikes Back, but couldn't stand A New Hope (come on, you knew I was going to bring it up some time in this topic).

Screw you, Koga.

And it's not that I can't stand DKC1, I just don't like it.

But A New Hope is my favorite Star Wars movie.

Empire Strikes Back is the Star Wars film I'm least familiar with - I don't really have an opinion of it, because I've only seen it once when I was about 10 (I also remember only about ten seconds worth of Terminator for that same reason). We don't have a copy of it around the house, probably related to the fact my dad hates it for some reason. Then again, he told me Animal House was a good movie, and it currently stands as the worst movie I've seen this year.

And anybody who considers DKC3 one of the worst games they've ever played has not played enough games. Not that I do cartwheels at the thought of DKC3, but stuff like Metal Mech, Hydlide, and Castlevania: Lament of Innocence are leagues beyond it in terms of suckitude.

WTF? Return of the Jedi is probably the best of the OT films.

It has some of the best moments (Luke/Emporor/Vader confrontation/ Battle of Endor (the one in space)), but also some of the worst (the mission on the forest moon, the Ewoks(!), parts of Jabba's palace).

Also, you like the new trilogy better than the old one, so you don't count, Knux
