From what I see it looks like some sort of action-adventure game. Perhaps elements of a side-scrolling beat 'em up? Anyway, you have until tomorrow night to nominate 5 games to go on the list of games eligible to be next week's GotW. |

| Marshmallow Knight ☆ Supermod | It's a fun game; it's immensely fun playing with another (retro) gamer. It's always funny when you accidentally throw a tire at your partner, and you end up kicking each other instead of playing the game 'properly'. At it's heart, it's a free-range beat-em-up scroller, but it has tons of RPG-like thingies attached to it. You have all the RPG stats like health, attack power, speed, etc. Also, it has a character building system by buying food, equipment, items, and skills from various towns using money you get from beating guys up. It has RPG like progression, where you advance (and backtrack) through the various towns with progressively tougher enemies and bosses, and advance a paltry story. Pretty fun, I must admit; it has a cult following. |

River City Randsom is personally my favorite handheld game of all time.(Yes, that means I've only played the GBA remake.) The simple yet charming graphics and equally simple yet addictive gameplay is what made this game so awsome... But there was one thing I hated about the remake: The box-art was God awful!(The Japanese version had great box-art...) So, yeah, buy this game, original or remake, and have the greatest old-school handheld gaming moment of your life... I nominate Peater Jackson's King Kong: Official Game of the Movie(Console Version) [ January 04, 2006, 06:41 PM: Message edited by: Full Metal 9-Volt ] |

I'll give my shout-out to Soul Calibur II. I still find it amusing how badly the GC version of SC2 outsold the PS2 and X-Box version. |

It taught me one of life's most important lessons--after a hard day of beating the crap out of gang members with an iron bar, there's no better way to unwind than heading to your local restaurant and eating a coffee cup. In order for 'Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Video Game of the Motion Picture' to be the best movie-to-game conversion ever made, it has to be superior to both 'Goldeneye' and 'Kung-Fu' (which was based on one of Jackie Chan's early films). Is it? I'm inclined to doubt it, unless the final version is loads better than the demo I tried at Gamestop. |
