| VGF's Resident Lennonist | Who would win between these two... Imagine both Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali in their primes. Someone invented a time machine and got them two to fight. Who would win? |

If you said Tyson, you need to go watch ESPN Classics and watch some of Ali's best fights because you have no concept of what it was like in a heavyweight division with top class talent. Ali kicked ass through his entire career, even though he missed his prime years for refusing to fight in Vietnam. The only way Tyson would have a chance is if he could get a quick knockout. Ali has the height and reach on him (Tyson typically struggles against bigger opponents because they can keep him at a distance) , and Ali proved time after time that he could go the distance with heavy hitters (fraiser, foreman, etc). This doesn't even get into the head games Ali would pull on Tyson. Tyson fought at the decline of the heavyweight division and boxing in general, and as a result didn't get the competition. He fought chumps. Last edited by Lurch1982; 12-23-2006 at 06:57 PM. |
