If the rest of my family isn't watching on OnDemand movie at the time, I may check it out. |

I have to admit that even though I am a skeptic in the whole "HD is God" philosophy I did agree that the picture was good and better looking than the standard broadcast. I can say I agree that HD is worth it on a 57 inch LCD TV. The colours were clear and the show was broadcast in the correct 16x9 aspect ratio with no stretching (an interesting note about the aspect ratio is how the WWE logo in the corner was noticeably positioned a few inches from the edge of the screen, so it would have been visible on the standard broadcast). However, I cannot say it was better than what you would see on a tube TV. Since most the (active) TVs in my house are now LCD (though only one is larger than 20 inches) there is no way I can compare. There were some growing pains with the HD broadcast, the most notable being the fact that after the first commercial there was no commentary (even though it was on the standard broadcast). My favourite part of the broadcast was Maria and.....a good view and my least favourite part was Snitsky and his yellow teeth. |
