Does WWE think we are stupid by pretending TNA doesn't exist?

I just read on WWE.com that Monty Brown signed with WWE.

The article just says that he's a former football player, with no reference to his time in TNA (where he was a pretty major character).

This seems to reference the announcement of Jeff Hardy's return, where it was made to seem that he never wrestled at all since leaving WWE.

You know WWE is not smart ignoring TNA, especially when TNA is NOT ignoring WWE (RE: Rhino's promo against the ECW revival, Kurt Angle's first promo, where he trashes WWE, and the Jame Gang's current angle)
